Academic Requirements

Master

  • A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields accepted by the IPB University, minimum CGPA of 2,75 (scale 0-4) or equivalent.
  • Candidates with CGPA 2,50-2,75 can be considered to be accepted with probation

PhD

  • A master’s degree in the field or related fields accepted by the IPB University, with minimum CGPA of 3,50 (scale 0-4) or equivalent.
  • Candidates with CGPA 3,25-3,50 can be considered to be accepted with probation

Applicants are required to prepare documents below (the certificate and transcript must be scanned from the original documents) :

  • Bachelor Degree certificate and a Transcript of the Bachelor degree (for Master programs)
  • Bachelor Degree certificate, Master Degree certificate, a Transcript of the Bachelor degree course , and Master Degree certificate, (for Doctoral program)
  • Documents related to scientific publications (Form B – Particularly for Doctoral-level registration)
  • Recommendations from three referees (input the email addresses of the referees into the sub-system).  
    • One of the referees MUST BE a lecturer, or Teaching Staff member, from a Tertiary Educational Institution 
    • The qualifications for referees must be at a minimum of Master-level, for registrants to the Master of Science program (a Master-level program), and at a minimum of Doctoral-level for registrants to the Doctoral-level programs.
  • Financial Surety letter (Form D)
  • A synopsis of the research proposal (a maximum of three pages, no particular format)
  • English language proficiency (TOEFL ITP/IELTS, iBT) scores (for those not having such proof of proficiency may take the Placement Test. See: Agenda).

To apply to IPB Graduate School you will need to create an admissions account at  http://pendaftaran.admisi.ipb.ac.id. Use an email address you will have access to throughout the admissions process to ensure you can receive communications from the university about your application.

Fill out and submit your application

The online application takes about 30 minutes to complete. It is possible to start an application, save it and return to finish and submit it later if you need to. When filling out the application, be prepared to provide:

  • Your name, contact information and biographical information
  • Your educational history, including previous post-secondary education 
  • Your planned program of study

Check the announcement

After submitting your application, you should check the announcement by log in with your account to https://registrasi.admisi.ipb.ac.id/ according to the Agenda

  • TPA (Academic Potential Test) with minimum score 500

  • Candidates must have 1 national or Scopus indexed international journal article (as member author is acceptable)
  • Has working experience in research field at least 2 years
  • Fulfil other requirements specified by the Faculty/School/Institute for each program

PhD

  • A master’s degree in the field or related fields accepted by the IPB University, with minimum CGPA of 3,50 (scale 0-4) or equivalent. Candidates with CGPA 3,25-3,50 can be considered to be accepted with probation
  • Candidates must have 1 Scopus indexed international journal article or 3 national journal articles (at least one as first author), or 1 patent (as main inventor)
  • Has working experience in research field at least 4 years
  • Fulfil other requirements specified by the Faculty/School/Institute for each program

  • A synopsis of the research proposal (a maximum of three pages, no particular format)
  • English language proficiency (TOEFL ITP/IELTS, iBT) scores (for those not having such proof of proficiency may take the Placement Test. See: Agenda).
  • Research Proposal that has been signed by promotor in IPB University
  • Proof of publication
